Day 01: ARRIVE TO UB, BEST WESTERN TUUSHIN HOTEL

Our English-speaking guide and driver would meet you at Ulaanbaatar airport then you would get transferred to five star Best Western Tuushin hotel. By 6:30pm we would have welcome dinner at La Cabernet restaurant. (D)

Day 02: FLY OUT TO ULGII

Today we would fly heading to Ulgii town, which is the most western province of Mongolia. You would meet local English speaking guide and driver at the airport and get transferred to ger camp. (Ger is a Mongolian word for nomad tents) Then we would visit museum in the morning.   After the lunch at Turkish restaurant we would visit peace tower and town center. Late afternoon we would get back to the camp. (BLD)

Day 03: DRIVE TO ALTAI  TAVAN BOGD NP NORTHERN RANGER STATION

In the far western corner of Mongolia lie the Altai Mountains, a stunningly beautiful region of snow capped peaks, immense glaciers and large alpine lakes. We would start our trip heading West by 4×4 jeeps. On the way you have chance to see remote mountain country, when crossing big passes. Along the way we marvel at the Yamaat petroglyphs, a recently uncovered site in remote terrain featuring more than 10 thousand images of hunting and combat scenes, mythological figures, and symbolic sacred art. We would camp by northern ranger station in a beautiful spot with great view of valley.  (BLD)

Day 04: BASE CAMP OF ALTAI TAVAN BOGD MOUNTAIN

After a big western style breakfast, we would drive from our campsite to the Great Altai Tavan Bogd base camp. The view from the place where we can get by car is the best, that you can see the 5 holly peaks of Altai Tavan Bogd with its beautiful 17km long ice glacier.  We would hike closer to the ice glacier and back to the car by afternoon.  According to time allowance we would visit some local nomad Kazakh families after dinner. We would stay at the same place one more night. (BLD)

Day 05: DRIVE TO KHOTON KHURGAN TWIN LAKES

Today we are going to drive to the southern part of Altai Tavan Bogd National park which is one of the most beautiful place in Western Mongolia. This is the region where the Khoton and Khurgan lakes are. On the way to the destination we would stop in Mogoit valley to see the ancient stone man, balbal rocks. We would pass through some high passes where you have chance to landscaping. We would set up our camp on lake shore of Khoton lake, on the back a beautiful snow caped mountain range which has the border line on top.  By evening we would visit local Kazakh family and observe the local nomadic life. Day 06: HORSE RIDING DAY AT LAKE SHORE OF KHOTON NUUR

Today we gonna ride horse, after a little riding lesson you would saddle up on your horses. Comparing to the western or Australian horses, Mongolian horses are very easy to control. We would ride 16km along lake shore, on some places trough forest. We would cross some smaller and a bigger river on horseback.  Our crew would set up the camp for us on a beautiful spot facing to the lake. (BLD)

Day 07: TREK TO WATER FALL 

We would drive to our next camp which is closer to Baga Turgen waterfall, in a beautiful spot backed by some snow caped mountains and forest, also with great view of Khurgan lake. After a short drive we would get to our camp and we would trek to Baga Turgen water fall. The waterfall comes from a small lake up on a lake and falls down from a height of 30 meters. The surrounding area is incredible some more waterfalls and beautiful mountains.   It is going be to a very good half day trek. (BLD)

Day 08: DRIVE BACK  TO ULGII, VISIT EAGLE HUNTER FAMILY ON THE WAY

Today we will be heading to Ulgii following the Khovd river downhill. On the way we will stop in Tsengel Soum which is asmall village center. After driving a full day we will get to Ulgii camp. The first thing which you want would be the hot showers.  In the evening we will make a small celebration at the camp. (BLD)

Day 09: FLY OUT TO UB. 4 STAR HOTEL 

After having breakfast at the ger camp we would fly out to Ulaanbaatar. It is going to be 3 hours flight from ulgii to ub. (BD)

Day 10: DAY TOUR TO GREAT CHINGGIS KHAN’S STATUE AND TERELJ NATIONAL PARK

We would visit Great Chinggis Khan’s statue monument where we could see the world’s biggest horse riding statue and historical museum. Then we would drive to Terelj national park and stay at a tourist camp. After the lunch we would drive to the giant turtle rock and back to camp. Possible to hike around camp. (BLD)

Day 11: TREKKING

We would have a relaxing day at the Terelj National park, at our camp.  After the breakfast we could trek in the valley. It is a beautiful valley with mountains. Late afternoon we would drive to hotel in UB.  (BLD)

Day 12: FLY OUT TO YOUR COUNTRY

After the breakfast get transferred to airport for your international flight.  (B)

  3. Optional tipping or gratuities to camp crew and leader
  4. Any additional hotel/ ger camp nights that may be necessary due to domestic airline schedule changes or other factors.
  5. Pre-trip expenses of medical immunizations, visa fees, travel insurance, and other expenses of a personal nature (alcoholic beverages, laundry, etc).
