Day 01: SINGAPORE – SRI LANKA – ANURADHAPURA BLD
Arrive early morning at Colombo, met by our representative and transfer to hotel in Anuradhapura, takes around our an half. After some rest and good sleep enjoy your breakfast and proceed with the city tour of Anuradhapura, the 1st Capital of Sri Lanka. Visit many sites of archaeological and historical interest including Isurumuniya – the first temple to be built in the island, Sri Maha Bodhi Tree with an authenticated history of more than 2300 years which has been planted with a sapling from the original tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment at Bodhgaya in India. Enjoy your lunch at one of the local restaurant and start further to Ruwanveliseya – the largest stupa in the island, Jethawanaramaya and Abhayagiriya – which in their original form have been matching in size to the Great Pyramids in Giza being the tallest brick buildings in the world and have thus been declared as World Heritage Sites. After visiting Twin Ponds continue to Thuparamaya, the first Stupa to be built in Sri Lanka enshrining the left collar bone of the Buddha & the Samadhi Statue in meditating posture. Retire for the day at Anuradhapura with overnight stay.
Day 02: ANURADHAPURA – SIGIRIYA – DAMBULLA BLD
After breakfast leave Anuradhapura and proceed with your land journey to the next destination of Sigiriya. Start with the climb of the eighth wonder of the world “SIGIRIYA”. Sigiriya Rock fortress built by King Kashyapa between 477-495 AD. The “Lion Rock” was the unusual beauty rising 200m from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. The world-renowned frescoes of the “heavenly Maidens” of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster. Sigiriya has declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Proceed to the hotel and evening at leisure in Dambulla.
Day 03: DAMBULLA – MATALE – KANDY (100Km, 3-4 hours) BLD
After a refreshing breakfast at your hotel proceed with the visit of Dambulla Cave Temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. It is declared as a World Heritage site (1991), the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. Continue further to visit a Spice Garden in Matale to see & experience the different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices such as Nut Meg, Cardamom, Cinnamon, turmeric, and shown how some of these spices are frown and processed. Carry on with your journey to Kandy. The hill capital, venue of the annual Esala Perahera, the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today and you will witness Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions everywhere. Enjoy Kandy Cultural Dance Show, is an early evening performance by the famous Kandy Temple Dance Troupe which incorporates highly rhythmic movements to the sound of temple drums and flutes. Each of the energetic dances performed tells its own story. Traditional folk dance is a part of Sri Lankan way of life & dates back to many years. Have a comfortable overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 04: KANDY CITY – NUWARA ELIYA BLD
After breakfast carry on with a city tour of Kandy. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. And it is declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Drive around the Upper Lake Drive, a place where one could have a bird’s eye view of the city below. Visit a Gem Museum to see how the valuable gems that you see on a shop shelves are turned out from a raw stone with the back ground history. Further to a Batik Making Factory, see how beautifully the village girls turn out beautiful colored cloths for different purposes with colorful designs. On completion proceed with your land journey to Nuwara Eliya, journey to a beautiful green highest elevated place in Sri Lanka Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit a Tea Factory and a plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure unblended cup of factory fresh tea before being sent to the Tea Auctions in Colombo leading to export of Ceylon Tea. Retire for the day at Nuwara Eliya with an evening at leisure
Day 05: NUWARA ELIYA BLD

Day 06: NUWARA ELIYA – GALLE (270 Km 4-5 Hours) BLD
After breakfast leave for Galle to have a scenic drive along the way, comparatively a longer day on road. While on road visit some beautiful waterfalls, take photos in the tea fields, if you like you can participate & enjoy white water rafting session at Kitulgala. Lunch will be served at one of the local restaurants on the way. On arrival check in to the hotel and enjoy your leisure time at the beach side. Overnight stay in a hotel in Galle.
Day 07: GALLE BLD
After breakfast carry on with the visit of Galle Dutch Fort. Basking on the southern coast of Sri Lanka in the bay of Galle, the Fort was first built by the Portuguese in 1588 before being extensively fortified by the Dutch in the mid-1600s. Recognized by UNESCO for its cultural heritage value, the Fort was declared a World Heritage Site in 1988 as a unique exposition of “an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.” Lunch will be served at a local restaurant followed by an interesting ‘Stilt Fishing’ session in the afternoon. Drive to koggala to witness traditional stilt fishing and you can experience sit on the pole and fishing for sometimes. Overnight stay at hotel in Galle.
Day 08: GALLE – COLOMBO – AIR PORT DEPATURE BLD
Enjoy your breakfast & have a relaxed morning at the beach hotel. Check your hotel out at 12:00 noon and proceed with your land journey to reach Colombo. After lunch embark on a sightseeing tour of Colombo. Visit a famous River Buddhist temple (Gangaramaya), a Hindu temple, Independence Square, BMICH, replica of tallest standing Buddha statue in awukana, Independence Arcade are some of the major tourist attraction of Colombo. You can also opt to visit some of the shopping malls. After a farewell dinner at a Chinese restaurant you will be transferred to the airport to board on your scheduled flight to Singapore.
