Day 01: SINGAPORE-ULAANBAATAR

Our English-speaking guide and driver would meet you at Ulaanbaatar airport then you would get transferred to five star Best Western Tuushin hotel. By 6:30pm we would have welcome dinner at Veranda restaurant. (D)
Day 02: ULAANBAATAR-TSONJIN BOLDOG-TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Have your breakfast and get prepared for some days of horse riding trip in Terelj national park. Meet our guide at 10:00am at the lobby and drive heading to east to Tsonjin boldog, Great Chinggis Khan’s Equestrian monument. It is gonna be little more than an hour drive to get there. It is an interesting and impressive monument with historical museum on the base floor and lift through the building to get to top of the horse neck. Great view. After this we would drive heading to Terelj national park. Beautiful nature with green pasture all around and we would explore the extra ordinary formation of rocks and stones in the valley. After the lunch we would have the rest of the time around our camp, hiking, resting. (BLD)
Day 03: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Our guide with the help of local horseman would give instructions on how to ride and control this Mongolian horses. Then you would saddle up the horses and would do a shorter ride until lunch time. Then afternoon we would have also 3 hours of ride by following river. (BLD)
Day 04: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
We would start hiking heading to the famous Turtle rock. It would be a beautiful hike on soft grassy terrain. Depending on time we would have some lunch on the way and we would continue hiking to Aryabal temple. It is an interesting temple which is located on a steep hill. It is built in the shape of an elephant’s head. The set of 108 stairs leading up to the temple symbolizes the elephant’s elongated trunk. By late afternoon we would get picked up by our driver and get back to camp. (BLD)
Day 05: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
We would ride on flat area following the river to visit some local nomad families. It is a beautiful morning ride. We would get to the nomad family and would get experience the nomad Mongolian way of life. After having a local lunch we would ride heading back to our camp. This going to be the last day of our stay at Terelj national park. (BLD)
Day 06: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK-ULAANBAATAR
After the breakfast we would leave to Ulaanbaatar to explore. Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia and about half of Mongolian population lives in this fast growing city. We would visit Gandan monastery before lunch time and would visit Mongolian national museum after the lunch. Sukhbaatar square is in a walking distance from the museum, so we just walk in there. Then we would drive to Zaisan tolgoi from where you can see the whole town from an altitude. By evening we would go to theatre for cultural show. (BLD)
Day 07: ULAANBAATAR– KARAKORUM
We would pick up you from your hotel – drive to Elsen Tasarkhai Sand dunes /280 km/ – lunch – camel ride (1 hour) – drive to Karakorum /85 km/ – dinner – overnight at Dream Land Resort (total driving time : 5-6 hours on paved road.)
Elsen Tasarkhai Sands is smaller sand dunes, several km long, continuously lies in the lowland of Khugnu Khan Mountain. Sand dunes represents landscape, climate & ecology of Gobi Desert, in this region. After lunch time, we will ride camels here. The two-humped camels are very comfortable to ride, as they walk slowly and gently and we will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. (BLD)
Day 08: KARAKORUM
Breakfast – half day Karakorum tour: Erdene Zuu Monastery, Karakorum Museum and Karakorum Open Museum – lunch – drive to Kultegen and Bilge Khaan’s Legendary Monuments /35 km/ – visit to the site – dinner – overnight at Dream Land Resort
Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolian Empire, was built in 1235 by Ugudei Khaan who was the successor of Chingis Khaan. The old capital was almost completely destroyed in 1377. But in 1585, Avtai Sain Khaan of Mongolia built the first and the biggest Buddhist monastery on the site of the old capital in 1586. The monastery, Erdene zuu, is kept in good shape until today. The crafts and paintings stored in the monastery are “a must see ” masterpiece of work. Visit the monastery and explore more about the historical city.
Kultegen and Bilge Khaan’s legendary Monuments are two memorial stone installations erected by the Turkish people written in Old Turkic alphabet in the early 8th century in the Orkhon Valley. Recently Turkish government built a great museum in the area which explains much of the old Turkic age in the area. (BLD)
Day 09: KARAKORUM-KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast – drive to Khustai National park – lunch at Khustai Center dinner – search and explore wild horses in Khustai national park driving further in – drive to back to Khustai tourist camp and stay.
After the breakfast we would drive in to Khustai national park. After lunch at Khustai national park we would drive further with one of the park ranger, to explore the area, to see the wild life, the takhi or przewalski horses. By late afternoon we would come back to camp and stay at Khustai tourist camp. We would relax and enjoy the evening.
Khustai National Park is the home to wild horses called Przewalski horses or takhi, in Mongolian. However, it is not true Przewalski horses is the only attraction of the Park. Because the Park occupies such a vast territory, there is sample opportunity for various outdoor activities such as takhi and bird watching, hiking, horse or camel riding, photo shooting and visiting ancient artifacts there.
Takhi is last wild horse subspecies surviving in the 21st century. Unique wild horse – Takhi reintroduction project at Hustai National Park started in 1992. As the successful implementation of the project today we have over 220 takhi in the park. Dutch couple Mr. Jan Bouman and Mrs. Inge Bouman and Mongolian well known researcher Tserendeleg Jachin, the first Mongolian scientist who was in expedition to Antarctic initiated this brilliant event. Day 10: KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK-ULAANBAATAR-SINGAPORE
According to your international flight departure time we would drive to Ulaanbaatar and you would get transferred to airport. (B)
